Jean, how do I congratulate you on proffering some of the most heartfelt wishes of the season I have heard without sounding pat? I think this is one of the fundamental problems with things (I'm not sure if I mean beauty or truths because what I'm about to say next seems possibly both a valid and invalid rumination on both) - the sincerity of the investment in the statement needs to stand alone. Sometimes, to acknowledge something as sagely or beautiful can detract from its very nature. I think this is being lost for words, when you are tearful from the honesty and beauty of the world.

Such a statement becomes problematic when we apply it to both beauty or truth as neither is solid and both should, in their very right, be considered and reformulated. Once again then I am led to consider that the sensation of universality that freezes my tongue is the intangible experience of aesthetic engagement, but I am wondering more and more if I don't use that experience as short-hand too often as way of avoiding considerd interrogation of my enjoyment of things.

But this is an aside - Merry Christmas Jean. Wanna swing by Marcus' do with me tomorrow night?

Hope that means something inducing drunkeness, and not something more sinister. I try to be good.

There was something wonderful in your sentiments for the season. I'm not sure I can pin it as wonderfully as Josh did. May you write a lyric for the song "Everything's Going To Be Alright (Forever)" sometime in the next week or so.

Chin-chin,

Christian
