Blogroll Roundup

I’ve just added a few new blogs to my blogroll, and I decided I should attempt to annotate at least these new listings. Via Jill/txt I found Jon Hoem’s Diablog, a PhD blog on personal publishing, education, and the technologies that go with all that. Quite interested in following this one, as some of the themes are similar to what I’ll be pursuing when I submit the MPhil and start my PhD on vernacular creativity (which is alarmingly soon now).

Other good PhD blogs I’ve added lately are: Jason Craft (“popular fiction in the mediasphere”) and vitia (rhetoric and composition), both of which join regular reads Connected Selves (Dana Boyd -digital social networks), The Ludologist (Jesper Juul – game research) and Purse Lip Square Jaw (Anne Galloway – ubiquitous computing, space and culture)

I am going to prune the blogroll again soon, not because I don’t like some of the people on it anymore, but to ensure that it’s a strong and dynamic reflection of my interests, a better resource for me, and the beginnings of a network of people who are – in some way or another – likeminded. But that’s for another day.
